Objectives

Radio broadcasting

Promote and look after the broadcasting radio research in Catalonia, in order to improve the quality and growth of the sector.
- Carry out the Informe anual sobre la Ràdio a Catalunya.(Annual Radio Report in Catalonia)
- Run sectorial studies and specific research projects.
- Promote coordination between other Catalan, national or international research groups in order to boost the knowledge interchange and create multidisciplinary research projects together with universities.
To promote regular and constant debate and encounter between actors from the sector, in order to discuss specific aspects that might influence evolution of the Catalan radio in a short, mid and long period.
- The organization of future Radio Congresses editions being pluriannual; given the continuity of these previous scientific, academic and professional meetings (1996, 2003,2006)
- Arrange meetings and discussions about specific issues on the Radio as a Media proposed by the Comitè Científic de l’Observatori (Observatory Scientific Committee)
- Collaboration with other public, private, professional or academic organisms that develop activities related to local, state, national or international radio diffusion.
The Observatori de la Ràdio a Catalunya is an independent organism that guarantees a quality research about radio diffusion in Catalonia.
